Your Steps to Service

APPLY

Apply to serve.

Your first step is to complete our online volunteer application.

The application helps us get to know you, learn about your interests and skills, and discover where you may be the best fit.

Your first step:

Complete Volunteer Application

Once your application is received and reviewed, a member of our team will contact you with information about your background check, orientation, training, and what comes next.

LEARN

Understand the mission.

After your application is accepted you'll be invited to register for an onsite or virtual orientation and onboarding experience. You'll meet our team, other volunteers, and learn about:

    • Who we are and why we serve
    • Our mission, vision, and values
    • Programs and opportunities
    • What to expect when you serve
    • Volunteer expectations and guidelines
    • How we serve with dignity and compassion
    • Safety and communication procedures

Our goal is more than preparing you to serve. We want you to understand why your service matters.

Find Your Opportunity

After completing orientation, you’ll create a free volunteer user account through GivUnity, our volunteer management web-platform.

Through GivUnity, you can:

    • Explore available opportunities
    • View dates and times
    • Register to serve
    • Manage your volunteer schedule
    • Track your service
    • Discover new ways to get involved

Once your account is ready, you’ll be able to find opportunities that fit your schedule, interests, and gifts.
